The art of leadership – fewer conflicts, more results

About

EMBO appreciates the importance of management skills for a successful career in science today and has, in partnership with consulting teams, designed this course specifically for the needs of post-docs.

The number of participants per course is limited to 16.

During the three-day course, participants will receive training in: communication, negotiation skills, conflict solving strategies and team building.  Short theoretical inputs will be followed by extensive practical exercises. "As much theory as necessary and as much practice as possible" is the principle of this course.

Since most post-docs are responsible for their own projects and lead teams or sub-groups, this course will help to facilitate both their current work and future projects

Note: You must be a post-doc for a minimum of six months at the time of attending the course.

Was very helpful to realize that it is normal to have management problems, understanding and accepting this is already a huge step forward to solve them.
